Tip of the week: Minecraft – One useful think you may want to keep in mind is a way to find cardinal directions without a compass. If you hit a block, check the directions of the cracks. If a block is hit on its side, there will be on crack going almost straight up and one to the right and one going straight down. If you hit the block on the ground and look for that crack pattern, the crack that goes straight up on the block will point north on the top of the block. A more simple method may be to watch the direction of the sun, moon, stars, and clouds. These always head west. Or you could also give up in the Java version and press F3 to see your direction on the stats.
