Tip of the week: New World – There are no traditional classes in New World. You gain experience in game and level up as you would expect, but you can freely place the points in whatever areas you wish. It is still unknown if there will be traditional roles of tank, healer, or DPS, but from the armor and items seen so far, it hints at the idea of there being these types of roles. The areas of progression are Weapon Mastery, Trade Skills, Faction Reputation, Territory Standing, and PVP. For example in the Weapon Mastery you put points into particular weapons and you have 30 skills to unlock for that individual weapon.
