Tip of the week: Elite Dangerous – With a copy of Elite Dangerous being free in a couple days on the Epic Game Store, I thought it would be a good idea to give some tips for new players. The first ship you get is called a Sidewinder. If you ever die and can’t afford to rebuy your ship, you will be given a sidewinder. You will want to start earning money to get a better ship that allows you to earn money even faster. Missions allow you to earn reputation and rank with factions. Another way to make quick money is through bounty hunting in resource extraction zones. Open the left panel of your main HUD and select navigation panel. Look for the “Resource Extraction Zone (High)” to start doing them. Remember that once you leave your starter zone you have a risk of losing any new ships you purchase. You will need to save enough money to repair them on destruction.
